"This episode kicks off with Issam Dahmani, the other host, excited to welcome DJ Rocca (Luca Roccatagliati). Active since the late ’90s, Rocca has worked with icons like Dimitri From Paris, Daniele Baldelli, and Jazzanova, releasing remixes, albums, and tracks on some of Europe’s top labels.
Get ready for an eclectic journey through cosmic house, disco, nu-disco, and electronic sounds, where every beat becomes an emotional landscape. The show flows like a conversation of groove, energy, and deep vibrations, setting the stage for a boundless, immersive radio experience."
DJ Soch, the true host of “Close To The Heart,” opens the show with a deep and enveloping selection. The rhythm moves forward without losing warmth, with a natural ease that only a few can maintain, carried by powerful basslines and intense vibrations.
It’s on this foundation that the encounter with Seeps takes shape. Born in the Bronx and now based in Los Angeles, Seeps brings the nostalgia of New York City’s golden era of dance music to her sets, deeply rooted in her Nuyorican heritage. Her selections blend classic NYC cuts, Boricua bangers, rare grooves, and underground slaps, turning every party into a journey through sound and the heartbeat of the city that raised her.
A deeply nostalgic soul, Seeps reflects on her life through music—the people she’s loved, those she’s lost, and the ones who slipped away. This mix grows out of those memories, from a desire to return to late-’90s New York and the feelings of that time. Recorded in a single take, almost entirely on vinyl—with the exception of the final track, a brand-new release from Shaun Ross—it’s a set played without overthinking, leaving room for instinct. Raw, imperfect, and honest, the mix finds a natural balance between new releases and timeless tracks.
Two hours of deep‑house, balearic and house grooves, curated by DJ Soch & Issam Dahmani to immerse you in pure sound.
Kicking off with resident Issam Dahmani and two of the founders of Metrica Recordings, an underground label known for its deep, atmospheric house sound - joined by Italian producers Marco Spinetti and Neg.
DJ Soch opens the first hour with early ’90s Italian productions, evoking the Riviera Romagnola club sound shaped by venues like Cocoricò, Peter Pan, Pacha, and legendary afterhours such as Diabolica and Vae Victis. This is the spirit he brings into his productions, gathered under the name, The Italian Stallion. Following him for the second hour, Issam Dahmani guides listeners through dream house, italo house, and disco edits, blending timeless classics with modern gems and his signature Mediterranean touch.
DJ Soch, aka The Italian Stallion, kicks off the episode with a soulful, down-tempo selection before moving into deeper, warmer rhythms, a sonic journey weaving together dream house and influences from Chicago, New York, and Detroit.
Today’s guest: Manuold, a DJ, producer, and sound engineer from Palermo.
Manuold blends authenticity with timeless groove, establishing himself as one of the most active and respected Italian house producers in the contemporary scene. His productions have been featured on legendary labels such as Madhouse Records (“Champions Record”), We_r House, and 808 Crystal Grooves, as well as BKA Records and House Puff by DJ Steaw.
Issam Dahmani opens the show with an exploration of various shades of house music smoothly moving from the raw, soulful vibes of the ’90s to more recent and contemporary productions. Following that, we have the honour of hosting Nicholas Lammatteo, known simply as Nicholas. A talented DJ and producer from the Italian deep house scene. Nicholas has developed a deeply personal musical language over time, rich in references to soul, disco, acid, and classic New York house, with acclaimed releases on cult labels such as 4Lux, Quintessentials, Skylax, Home Taping Is Killing Music, Shall Not Fade, Kojak Giant Sounds, and many more. As co-founder of the Aura Safari project, Nicholas naturally delves into jazz-funk, boogie, and broken beat, always maintaining a strong connection with the dancefloor and the most authentic roots of club music.
DJ Soch, together with his new partner Issam Dahmani, brings BKA FM – “Close to the Heart”, a new radio show on LOOSE marking a significant moment in the history of their label. Following deep reflection on identity, values, and future direction, the long-standing Black Angus Records has changed its name to BKA Records – Beats Kickin’ Again. This decision stems from the awareness that the original name, while chosen in good faith, could be misunderstood or perceived as insensitive. The new name reflects a natural evolution, more aligned with what the project stands for today: openness, respect, and a genuine passion for music.
BKA FM will be a series of two-hour podcasts, entirely dedicated to music and free of spoken interruptions, designed to offer a rich and immersive sonic journey. The musical selection will span a wide range of genres and shades, including soul, jazz, nu jazz, broken beat, funk, boogie, hip hop, R&B, downtempo, jungle, ambient, house, techno, and other forms of electronic music. A carefully crafted mosaic that reflects the deep musical culture and passion of the two hosts, blending timeless classics with rare finds and fresh contemporary cuts.
All mixes will be curated and performed by DJ Soch & Issam Dahmani, who will also welcome special guests from both the Italian and international music scenes, aiming to spotlight the most authentic and compelling voices in the underground landscape.
